Volunteers are the lifeblood of Camp Whitney.

Every season we rely on volunteer help to make the camp work; in planning, in clean up and preparation, in day to day maintenance and during camp.

Each week of camp, we require 2-4 volunteers PER DAY to successfully run the operation.

We need the majority of our volunteers to help in the kitchen, but we also require activity leaders (outdoor cooking, nature walks, archery, arts and crafts etc.).  We also need Volunteers to help plan & organize camp in the off-season, or attend camp cleanup/shutdown sessions in May and September.

Each volunteer who comes to camp for a full or partial week have access to accommodation at our staff chalets, free meals, and an opportunity to take part in the unique life of camp. For safety, all volunteers working at the camp are required to have an enhanced Police check and show proof of same at entry. We can provide a request form for volunteers requiring checks, to avoid costs. Delays are NOT uncommon in this process, and you are encouraged to do so 2-3 months prior to camp.
